XRP, Mastercard, and MIT announce joint project

XRP is going to be powering a system that has been developed by MIT labs and Mastercard called SendFriend that will be targeting the Philippines. This will be watched by large XRP partners like MasterCard, Barclays, Techstars, and Mahindra Finance. I think this is more important than just developing a remittance system for the Philippines but it will be used as a Beta-test by the financial giants to see how well the system works in the real world. if it goes well, we may see MasterCard and the others switch onto X-rapid as soon as next year.
